steezware

After 12 years as a principal engineer at Sage, Scott McDonell started his own firm - steezware - making modifications and custom modules for Sage 100 ERP. Many in the Sage development community use the stzUE UltraEdit toolkit, but steezware also created a few other developer tools. In 2021 Scott turned over the entire steezware library of tools to MBA, who assumed continued responsibility for their development and support.

stzUE – pronounced steeze-U-E – is a set of UltraEdit tools that provide rich support for editing ProvideX and PxPlus source code (text) programs and Nomads libraries. The tools are based on those developed by Sage Software for the development of its Everest (4.x) version of MAS 90. Sage abandoned the tools in favor of the plug-in developed for the Eclipse IDE, but steezware teamed up with ERP Developers to update the tools to work with PxPlus as well as ProvideX.

Return Maintenance

When requesting data from SDE, you can return data from any Data Source in Resource Maintenance as the column name or as an alias. You can also return expressions. Return Maintenance is found in SDE Application | Developers | Return Maintenance.

	The Plus rocker button moves the record pointer to the first (top) of the table, last (bottom) of the table, and previous (left) or next (right) from the current position.
	The Delete button deletes the current record.
	The Cancel button does not save changes and clears the fields on the screen.
	The Save button saves the current record and clears the fields on the screen.

Buttons

There are six buttons on the Return Maintenance screen.

	The Print button will print the Return information.
	The Copy button copy another Returns' definitions to this Return.
	The Insert Row button will insert a new row at the current position.
	The Delete Row button will delete the current row.
	The Move Up Row button will move the current row up one row.
	The Move Down Row button will move the current row down one row.

Fields

The following are the fields available on the Return Maintenance Screen.

Resource

Select any Data Source available from the Resources' Business Object.

Sage Business Object

The documents posted to SDE use the business object to post data.

Return Grid

Data Source

Select any Data Source available from the Resources' Business Object.

Return Type

There are four selections for Return Type:

Column Name

Select the Column you want to return. If you are returning an expression, Column Name will be locked.

Alias

Enter an Alas if you want to return the value of the column as an alias. For example, a User Defined Field in your system, “UDF_LEAD_TIME”, can be returned as “leadtime”. Expressions require an Alias.

If you selected Maintain Case in Resource Maintenance, you might use Alias to change the case of a column name to match your requirements on the return. Table Name

Name of the table associated with Main. (read-only)

Column Type

Is the column entered a String or Numeric?

Detail Only

Return this field only if requesting a single entity. (Like one Sales Order, versus list of Sales Orders.)

Expression

Expressions are used for three Return Types; Expression, Skip Conditional, and Running Total. If returning an Expression, enter a string or numeric expression. The Skip Conditional Expression must return a numeric 0 or 1. The Running Total must return a numeric Expression. All the expressions must be valid PxPlus expressions.

Skip Conditional

Skip Conditional lines can added for the MAIN and DETAIL Data Sources. When more than one Skip Conditional is added to a given Data Source, the record will be skipped if any of the Expressions are true.

The image above shows a Skip Conditional entry for the Sales Order DETAIL Data Source. Note that the Column Name and Alias cells are locked. Column Type should be set to Numeric.

The Expression contains a PxPlus expression that evaluates to a 1 (true) or 0 (false). If the Expression is true, the record is skipped. In this case, only those Item Types set to “1” are returned, the rest are skipped.

Running Total

Running Totals are set up in the DETAIL Data Source, but returned in the MAIN section of the XML or JSON. Running Totals require an Alias and are assumed to be numeric.

Larger Image

The Expression contains a PxPlus expression that evaluates to a numeric. You can enter multiple Running Totals.

Request Maintenance - [Buttons]

Request Maintenance

SDE Resources are linked to Sage 100 Business Objects. Reads (GETs) and writes (POSTs) to SDE contain the Resource as part of the JSON or XML document. Request maintenance is found in SDE Application | Developers | Request Maintenance.

Buttons

There is seven buttons on the Request Maintenance screen.

	The Print button will print the Request information.
	The Copy button copies another Request into the List Box.
	While not quite a button, you can drop a text file of your JSON or XML document into the middle of the button and it will be displayed in the List Box.
	The Insert Row button will insert a new row at the current position. The row can contain a child or sibling of the currently highlighted row.
	The Delete Row button will delete the current row.
	The Expand Tree button will expand the tree in the Tree View List Box.

Fields

The following are the fields available on the Request Maintenance Screen.

Resource

Select the Resource for this Request.

Request Tree View List Box

The information in the list box is read only.

Element Grid

Select an XML or JSON Element from the Request Tree View List Box, then define the element handling.

Entity

Is the row a User, Password, Main, Line, Tier, Payment, or Package.

Selection<html>  </html>	Description
User<html>  </html>	Element returns the SDE User.
Password<html>  </html>	Element returns the SDE Password.
Main<html>  </html>	Identifies the element that contains for one or more Sage 100 entities,
<html>  </html>	like Customers or Sales Orders.
Line<html>  </html>	Identifies the element that contains the lines or detail for the Sage 100

Tier<html>  </html>	Identifies the element that contains the tiers for the Line identified above.

Package<html>  </html>	Identifies the element that contains the packages for the Main entity.

Table Type

Is this a Header, Detail, Tier or Payment table.

Column Name

Enter the Sage 100 Column Name.

Column Type

Is the data coming in a number or a string?

Expression

Enter an expression to modify the incoming data.

Resource Maintenance - [Buttons]

Buttons

There is one button on the Resource Maintenance screen.

	The right arrow button to the right of the Sage Business Object changes the entry to User Defined Table (UDT). UDT's all use the same business object, so you would only enter the table name. 	The Print button will print the Resource information.

Fields

The following are the fields available on the Resource Maintenance Screen.

Resource

The endpoint of any Sage Data Exchange installation is sde. (i.e. “<yourDomain>:<yourPort>/sde”) The JSON or XML document posted to SDE must contain the Resource.

Sage Business Object

The documents posted to SDE use the business object to post data.

Maintain Case

By default, the column names in the response for any Resource are returned in lower case. If you wish to retain the case entered in Return Maintenance, select Maintain Case. If you want to change the default capitalization for a Sage column, just enter an Alias with the desired capitalization. <html><a href=“http://sagedataexchange.com/videos/default.asp?video=XML Case Sensitivity&YouTube=11GlhGh9xOE” target=_blank>[video]</a></html>

Resource Grid

The information in the grid is read only.

Data Source

Data Sources are pulled from the business objects' child collection.

Table Name

The table name of the Data Source.

Type

The Type can be Main or Detail. For example, Main would be the SO_SalesOrder_BUS, and Detail would be the SO_SalesOrderDetail_BUS.

RO?

Checked if the Data Source is Read Only.

Key Reference

Key Reference for the Main, Detail and Child Collection. The Main and Detail Key References have the length of each segment included in the Key Reference.

Detail

Shows Yes if the Data Source is part of the Detail

Description

Description of the Data Source.

Paperless Merge Fields

Enhance Sage 100 Paperless Office merge fields to include more fields specific to the document being sent.

The Paperless Office module allows users to set up PDF and electronic delivery options for all standard reports, journals, and registers as well as most customer, vendor, and employee forms. The setup process for Paperless Office follows a tiered approach allowing it to be set up with options specific to a company, module, customer, vendor, employee (payroll), or individual document. More information about Paperless Office can be found in Sage’s manual for Sage 100.

Electronic Delivery Message Maintenance is used to maintain the default messages when using electronic delivery of the PDF documents. The maintenance screen can be accessed by logging into Sage 100 and going to Modules | Paperless Office | Setup | Electronic Delivery Message Maintenance. Paperless office, as of the 2018 version, was designed to allow a handful of generic merge fields.

Purpose of this enhancement

This enhancement will allow additional fields from the document and the entities associated with the document to be placed in the email body or subject. Electronic Delivery Message Maintenance merge fields change based on the document selected. As an example, when Invoice is selected as a Document, the following fields are available:

This enhancement enhances the default merge fields with a much larger list of merge fields that are related specifically to the document.

For example, Invoice emails can contain fields from the AR_Customer, AR_CustomerPDFLog, AR_InvoiceHeader, AR_Salesperson and SY_Company. In our case, the body of the email can have the Invoice Due Date and include the the salesperson's name and contact info.

Take Note

Current version only increases merge fields for:

Customer Forms
- Accounts Receivable
  - Invoice
- Sales Order
  - Order
  - Invoice

Calculations

Calculations can be entered in the Email Message as well. For example, when sending out an email for Sales Order, you might want to show the total of the order. That calculation requires totaling five fields from the Sales Order Header table. To enter that calculation you would place the following in the Email Message.

The fields inside the square brackets are all replaced first, then the calculation is made within the braces. The return of the calculation must always be a string. Inside the braces is calculated as a ProvideX equation. The next example shows how to spell out abbreviations like Order Type which is a S for Standard, B for Backorder, etc.

Calculations like this make the Email Messages very readable.

Installation

The enhancement can be downloaded for the version of Sage 100 that is needed by clicking the download links in the Versions section in this document. The downloaded file will be a self-extracting zip file with only a single executable within the zip file. Extract that executable (.exe) to your desktop or preferred folder and execute by double clicking on the icon. Execute the installation program and follow the instructions. While the installation does not require everyone to be out of Sage 100 before installing, it may be necessary to log out and log back in to display menu changes.

Enter the destination folder of the Sage 100 application. The path should include the MAS90 folder. Example: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage 100 Standard ERP\MAS90\”. Click on Install when done. Files will be extracted to the folder specified and will trigger the Product Install to Sage 100. Click on Install to install the Enhancement to Sage 100.

Version Difference Warning

If there is a version difference a Version Mismatch Warning will appear.

This warning is expected if product updates have been installed. If the first two sets of numbers, 6.00 in the example shown, match then click on OK. If they do not match click on the red X and exit the installation. The correct version of the modification will need to be downloaded.

Once it is done installing the Enhancement, there will be two buttons displaying, Finish and Log. Click on the Finish button to complete the install process. If an error occurred on the screen or to validate the install, click on the Log button to view the install log. At this point, the Enhancement has been installed.

Prior to using the Enhancement, it must be registered.

Registration

Once the enhancement has been installed it must be registered for it to be active. Access to registration will have to be assigned to a user or group to have access to registration. To assign permissions, go to Modules | Library Master | Main | Role Maintenance. Enter the role assigned to the user or group that will need to have access to the MBA Enhancement Registration and click on the Tasks tab. Navigate to Library Master | Maintenance/Data Entry | MBA Enhancement Registration and make sure it is checked to allow access. To register the enhancement, the user must have at least View and Modify checked. If uninstalling an enhancement, Remove must be checked. To launch registration, go to Modules | Library Master | Utilities | MBA Enhancement Registration. A list of MBA enhancements will be displayed in the registration.

The listing of an enhancement does not mean that you have installed it or that you have access to use it.

Each enhancement that has been installed will display a check in the box in the column called Installed. The check box in the Activate column will appear once the enhancement has been successfully registered. If there is not a check mark, when clicking in the box, it will open a web page to the online ordering for that enhancement. Once a license key has been generated, enter it in the license column. If the license is valid, a check mark will appear in the Activate column. If the enhancement has an expiration date, the Expiration column will display the last day that the enhancement will work without being renewed.

Key Information

License keys will have the enhancement code followed by a 10 digit number. They are specific by enhancement and by the serial number of the installation.

Changes to a line can be undone by clicking on the Reset button. All rows can be reset by clicking on the drop down arrow on the Reset button and clicking Reset All Rows.

The Print button will print a list of all the enhancements indicating what has been installed and activated along with other information such as the description, license key and the expiration. This documentation can be accessed from the MBA Enhancement Registration by clicking on the help button. When done making changes or registering enhancements, click on the Accept button to close the MBA Enhancement Registration. Clicking on Cancel will close the screen without any changes being saved.

Setup and configuration

System Wide enhancement options are accessed through Modules | Library Master | Utilities | MBA Enhancement Registration. Click on the enhancement description to access its configuration. This enhancement does not have any system wide configuration so the Configure button in the MBA Enhancement Registration screen will be grayed out. This documentation can be accessed by clicking on the Manual button.

The maintenance of emails for Paperless Office is done in Electronic Delivery Message Maintenance. To access this maintenance screen, go to Modules | Paperless Office | Setup | Electronic Delivery Message Maintenance. The field drop down for “Insert Merge Field” has been expanded to include additional tables and fields. Due to the length of the field names, the drop down is not the most convenient way to select the merge field to insert. A new Field Explorer button has been added to allow easy navigation to select the fields to insert into the message body.

Double click on the Merge Fields folder to expand the additional tables available for inserting. The additional fields will be listed as <module_table.fieldname> under the table folders.

Double click on the field to have it inserted into the message body or subject line. When editing is complete, click the X in the top right of the MBA Paperless Merge Fields screen to close the field explorer. The sample below shows how the additional fields can be added to the body of the message.

Available Fields

The list of fields available when clicking on the Field Explorer in Electronic Delivery Message Maintenance is dynamic and built based on the current Document that is selected during entry. A preset list of tables are used for each document selected. This list of tables are used to query the Data Dictionary for the available fields to be listed. Since the Data Dictionary is used to create the list of fields to be merged, this means that User Defined Fields (UDFs) as well as developer fields (if populated in Data Dictionary) will be included.

Uninstalling

To uninstall an Enhancement, launch the registration program Modules | Library Master | Utilities | MBA Enhancement Registration. Select the Enhancement from the grid and press the Uninstall button. This will remove the enhancement from the system. A message box will appear stating which enhancement is being uninstalled. Click on OK to uninstall or Cancel to go back to the MBA Enhancement Registration without making any change. When an enhancement is removed the check box under Installed will be unchecked and the license with expiration date will be removed.

WARNING! Any enhancement that has been uninstalled will need to be reinstalled before it can be registered and used again.

Once all enhancements have been uninstalled, the MBA Enhancement Registration can be removed by clicking on the Remove Enhancement Registration button. This button is only activated once all enhancements have been uninstalled. A message box will appear stating that it will uninstall the MBA Enhancement Registration.

Click on OK to remove it or click Cancel to return to the MBA Enhancement Registration without making any change. A message will display when the files have been removed. Click on OK to close the window. When the MBA Enhancement Registration is removed, users will need to exit out of Sage 100 to have their menu updated. Once the menu is updated, the menu item for MBA Enhancement Registration is removed.

Take Note

Uninstall vs Deactivate
Before Uninstalling the Enhancement, which removes your License and Expiration, consider just de-activating the Enhancement by un-checking the box under the Activate column. Your Enhancement will not function until you re-activate the Enhancement by checking in the box under the Activate column.

Troubleshooting

Paperless Merge Fields are only displayed when the following requirements are met:

Enhancement must be installed
Enhancement must be registered
Document type must be specified

If the document type is specified, then check to make sure that the product is installed and registered. Check Registration by going to Modules | Library Master | Utilities | MBA Enhancement Registration. Navigate to the line for Paperless Merge Fields enhancement. Confirm that there is a check box in Install and Activate. There should be a date in the Expiration column. Confirm that the date is valid and has not expired. If it has expired, then the subscription for the enhancement will need to be purchased or renewed.

Purpose of this enhancement

The Paperless HTML Email enhancement was created to allow Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) code to be entered, as well as plain text, in the body of the Electronic Delivery. By allowing HTML to be entered in the body, the email being sent can have logo’s, tables, and other formatting that coordinates with the companies existing brand. It will allow for linking to websites and Social Media.

This enhancement DOES NOT WORK WITH FAX DELIVERY. If Fax Delivery is used as one of the options of Electronic Delivery, this modification may have unexpected results. Only use this enhancement if using E-Mail delivery for Electronic Delivery.

Installation

Version Difference Warning

If there is a version difference a Version Mismatch Warning will appear.

Prior to using the Enhancement, it must be registered.

e-Business Users

If using e-Business, this Enhancement can be extended to Modules | eBusiness Manager | E-mail Notification Maintenance. To use this enhancement with e-Business, copy the file SY_EmailEngine.PVC from the “.\MAS90\Links” folder to the “.\WEBENG\Links” folder used by e-Business.

The listing of an enhancement does not mean that you have installed it or that you have access to use it.

Key Information

License keys will have the enhancement code followed by a 10 digit number. They are specific by enhancement and by the serial number of the installation.

Changes to a line can be undone by clicking on the Reset button. All rows can be reset by clicking on the drop down arrow on the Reset button and clicking Reset All Rows.

Setup and configuration

The editing of the emails to have HTML can be done in two places:

Paperless Office
eBusiness Manager

Paperless Office

The maintenance of emails for Paperless Office is done in Electronic Delivery Message Maintenance. To access this maintenance screen go to Modules | Paperless Office | Setup | Electronic Delivery Message Maintenance.

Document Types can be Customer Forms, Vendor Forms, Employee Forms, Reports, Journals and Registers, and Period End Reports. Each Document can be setup by Company and will have a Subject Line along with the Message Body.

Warning! This enhancement DOES NOT WORK WITH FAX DELIVERY. If Fax Delivery is used as one of the options of Electronic Delivery, this modification may have unexpected results. Only use this enhancement if using E-Mail delivery for Electronic Delivery.

Select the Document type, company code, module code and document that is to be configured for sending HTML emails. HTML tags can be entered in the body of the email. The subject line does NOT support HTML tags, and if used in the subject, the tag itself will be shown to the user receiving the email. The example above shows how the standard plain text email from paperless would be setup. It has merge fields like <Document> in the subject and the body. Any links to websites are plain text and no images exist in the email. The result to the customer receiving the Invoice would appear as plain text as shown below.

Tip

If there are no HTML tags in the message body, then the message will be sent as plain text.

With the Paperless Office HTML enhancement installed and active, HTML can now be used in the body of the email. Below is the same document but instead of using plain text, HTML markup is used.

The merge field <Document> exist in the subject and in the body, like it did in the previous example. The body has multiple tables as well as multiple images. Links to websites exist within the text of the body.

Key Information

The number of characters that the body allows has not been modified and is using the maximum size available of 4096.

Additional Enhancements Available

This enhancement does not increase the size of the field that stores the body content. Please refer to our enhancement, HTML Email Advanced, if a larger size HTML body is required.

When the email is received, it will look like the sample below.

e-Business Manager

The maintenance of emails from the webengine in eBusiness Manager is done in E-mail Notification Maintenance. To configure emails sent from e-Business Manager go to Modules | eBusiness Manager | Setup | E-mail Notification Maintenance. Select the Notification to be modified. Just as in Paperless Office, the subject and body of the message can have text entered.

This sample shows how the standard plain text email from eBusiness would look. It has merge fields like «USER_INFORMATION» that can be in both the subject and the body of the email. When the email is sent as plain text it will look like this:

Uninstalling

Extra Step for eBusiness Users

If Paperless Office HTML enhancement has been setup for eBusiness, the file webeng\links\sy_EmailEngine.pvc will have to be manually removed.

WARNING! Any enhancement that has been uninstalled will need to be reinstalled before it can be registered and used again.

Troubleshooting

Paperless HTML Email only changes your email sent from Sage 100 to an HTML format when a few requirements are met:

Enhancement must be installed
Enhancement must be registered
Body of the email must have expected HTML tags

If the outgoing email is displaying the HTML tags when it is sent, then it usually indicates that the system doesn't have a valid registration. Check Registration by going to Modules | Library Master | Utilities | MBA Enhancement Registration. Navigate to the line for Paperless HTML enhancement. Confirm that there is a check box in Install and Activate. Since this enhancement is free, it is expected to have a blank Expiration value.

The .\MAS90\Links folder should have a file called SY_EmailEngine.PVC. If this doesn't exist, make sure that it was not moved or deleted. If the file no longer exists, then reinstall the enhancement. If the system is not sending HTML for eBusiness users, confirm that the instructions were followed to copy the required files to the webengine folder.

Purpose of this enhancement

The Paperless HTML Email Advanced enhancement was created to replace the Paperless HTML Email enhancement. The Paperless HTML Email enhancement has a limitation of 4096 characters for the body of the email. With this enhancement, the field is replaced with a file. The file will contain the same data that the field held but without the limitation of 4096 characters.

The Paperless HTML Email Advanced enhancement turns on the ability to send email with HTML in the body. This will allow Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) code to be entered, as well as plain text, in the body of the Electronic Delivery. By allowing HTML to be entered in the body, the email being sent can have logos, tables, and other formatting that coordinates with the company's existing brand. It will allow for linking to websites and Social Media.

Installation

The enhancement can be downloaded for the appropriate version of Sage 100 by using the download links in the Versions section in this document. The downloaded file will be a self-extracting zip (.zip) file with a single executable inside. Extract that executable (.exe) to your desktop or preferred folder and execute by double clicking on the icon. Execute the installation program and follow the instructions. While the installation does not require everyone to be out of Sage 100 before installing, it may be necessary to log out and log back in to display menu changes.

Version Difference Warning

If there is a version difference, a Version Mismatch Warning will appear.

Once the Enhancement is installed, there will be two buttons displaying, Finish and Log. Click on the Finish button to complete the install process. If an error occurred on the screen or to validate the install, click on the Log button to view the install log. At this point, the Enhancement has been installed.

Prior to using the Enhancement, it must be registered.

e-Business Users

If using e-Business, the Paperless HTML Enhancement can be extended to Modules | eBusiness Manager | E-mail Notification Maintenance as part of this enhancement. To use the Paperless HTML enhancement with e-Business, copy the file SY_EmailEngine.PVC from the “.\MAS90\Links” folder to the “.\WEBENG\Links” folder used by e-Business.

The Paperless HTML Advanced enhancement DOES NOT WORK with e-Business. Instead the Paperless HTML enhancement is used and doesn't require separate registration.

Uninstalling

To uninstall an Enhancement, launch the registration program in Modules | Library Master | Utilities | MBA Enhancement Registration. Select the Enhancement from the grid and press the Uninstall button. This will remove the enhancement from the system. A message box will appear stating which enhancement is being uninstalled.

Take Note

When Paperless HTML Advanced enhancement is deactivated or uninstalled, the message body will revert to the value that Electronic Delivery Message Maintenance had prior to using the enhancement. If the enhancement is reactivated or reinstalled, the message body will revert to the last value the enhancement had saved.

Click on OK to uninstall or Cancel to go back to the MBA Enhancement Registration without making any change. When an enhancement is removed the check box under Installed will be unchecked and the license with expiration date will be removed.

Extra Step for eBusiness Users

If Paperless Office HTML enhancement has been setup for eBusiness, the file webeng\links\sy_EmailEngine.pvc will have to be manually removed.

WARNING! Any enhancement that has been uninstalled will need to be reinstalled before it can be registered and used again.

Troubleshooting

Paperless HTML Advanced enhancement allows email sent from Sage 100 to be in HTML format. If the outgoing email is displaying the HTML tags (example: <h1>, </h1>), then try the following:

Check Registration - Launch Modules | Library Master | Utilities | MBA Enhancement Registration, to insure the License was entered correctly.
Check Links Folder - If SY_EmailEngine.PVC is not in the MAS90\Links folder, copy Default.PVC and rename it to SY_EmailEngine.PVC.
1. For e-Business Manager, check the Links folder in WebEng.
Check Class Enhancements Launch Data File Display and Maintenance and load the SY_ClassEnhancement.M4T table for an override of SY_EmailEngine by SY106_HTM_EmailEngine. If the entry is not there, reinstall the enhancement.

LICENSE. MBA Business Software, a Georgia corporation as Licensor and owner hereby agrees to grant you as Licensee a non-exclusive license to use the enclosed software subject to the terms and restrictions set forth in this License Agreement. Title in and ownership of all programs and program enhancements or modifications written by MBA Business Software shall remain at all times vested in MBA Business Software. Enhance Sage 100 Paperless Office to attach documents to the emails being sent.

Purpose of this enhancement

The Paperless Attachment enhancement was created to allow a global attachment for Paperless Electronic Delivery. This enhancement allows emails going through Paperless Office to have one additional attachment.

Examples of this one attachment might be a Terms and Conditions document, a Sales Flyer or a Microsoft Contact File.

Installation

Version Difference Warning

If there is a version difference a Version Mismatch Warning will appear.

Prior to using the Enhancement, it must be registered.

Registration

The listing of an enhancement does not mean that you have installed it or that you have access to use it.

Key Information

License keys will have the enhancement code followed by a 10 digit number. They are specific by enhancement and by the serial number of the installation.

Changes to a line can be undone by clicking on the Reset button. All rows can be reset by clicking on the drop down arrow on the Reset button and clicking Reset All Rows.

Setup and configuration

System Wide enhancement options are accessed through Modules | Library Master | Utilities | MBA Enhancement Registration. Click on the enhancement description to access its configuration. This documentation can be accessed by clicking on the Manual button. This enhancement has a system wide configuration. To access it, click on the Configure button in the MBA Enhancement Registration screen. Enter the path to the attachment or click on the browse button and search for the file you wish to attach.

Path must be accessible by all users

Attachment will not be attached to Email if the file is not accessible by the user processing through Paperless Office electronic delivery.

Once the additional attachment has been set in the options, click on Accept on the options screen. Then click on Accept on the MBA Enhancement Registration screen. When an email is sent the additional attachment will be added to the email as shown below.

In this example, he standard invoice has been attached as well as our additional attachment which happens to be a Microsoft Contact file.

Uninstalling

WARNING! Any enhancement that has been uninstalled will need to be reinstalled before it can be registered and used again.

Troubleshooting

Paperless Attachment only works when the following requirements are met:

Enhancement must be installed
Enhancement must be registered
File path has been set for the specific company

If the file path has been specified, then check to make sure that the product is installed and registered. Check Registration by going to Modules | Library Master | Utilities | MBA Enhancement Registration. Navigate to the line for Paperless Merge Fields enhancement. Confirm that there is a check box in Install and Activate. There should be a date in the Expiration column. Confirm that the date is valid and has not expired. If it has expired, then the subscription for the enhancement will need to be purchased or renewed.
